How we estimated food insecurity:
We used data from the US Census Bureau on poverty, unemployment,
disability and other factors predictive of food insecurity
to generate our estimates of food insecurity for census tracts
in WNC. For a detailed explanation of how we generated our
estimates see our techincal report.
